The best part of eyelash extensions is that their long, black and fluffy. However, these benefits can also be a downfall when it comes to applying eyeshadow with eyelash extensions.

Due to the loose consistency of some eyeshadows, powders and glitter can get caught in the eyelash extensions. Here’s some tips to avoid and clean up eyeshadow messes on eyelash extensions:

  1. Choose your eyeshadow brush wisely. Any makeup guru knows that brushes make all the difference when it comes to application. Choose a tight-bristled eyeshadow brush instead of a loose-bristled brush. This helps keep the eyeshadow in a tight and compact space during application.
  2. Shake excess powder before application. Once you have applied eyeshadow to your brush, tap the brush on the side of the eyeshadow container to remove excess powder. Oftentimes, this excess eyeshadow is what gets caught in the eyelash extensions.

  3. Look up. While applying eyeshadow, try your best to look up, without your extensions getting too close to the eyelid. This prevents loose powders from falling downwards onto the extensions.
  4. Cleanse. If all the above fails and some eyeshadow gets on your extensions, we recommend using our cleanser to remove the excess. Simply dip a mascara wand into the cleanser and run over the length of your lashes. Keep your lashes closed for a few seconds to let the cleanser dry, so it won’t smear your eyeshadow.
